RMNP & Indian Peaks Wilderness
If you have never had the opportunity to ski in RMNP you are in for a treat, this is a winter wonderland like nothing else in the United States. Ski tours here combine several things, a great workout, incredible scenery and incredible skiing.
“The Park” has something for everyone, for all fitness and skill levels. The Banana Bowls offer great intermediate terrain on an almost 1,000 foot face with and easterly facing line that offers generally safer skiing. Looking for something more in the “extreme” category? Dragontail Couloir offers a steep, tight and committing line that will make you think you have teleported to Chamonix on Mount Blanc. This is the kind of ski line that you will never forget. Everywhere in RMNP feels wild and remote, especially in the winter, and with stunning rock faces and alpine ridges in every direction above as you navigate through majestic pine forests this is a backcountry skiers paradise.
