MOUNTAIN BIKING
Boulder’s mountain biking offers some of the best trails in the United States. Ask the front desk for info on rentals or guided trips!
Our favorite ride in Boulder is Betasso which is located just above our property. There are two moderate difficulty 3 mile loops to ride. For an extra challenge, take the super flowy and exciting link trail down to highway 119 and ride the short distance back to your hotel room. Other great trails in the area are Hall Ranch and Picture Rock in Lyons, Marshall Mesa in south Boulder, and Doudy Draw with a great view of the Flatirons and easier terrain for less experienced riders.
One part of the fun of mountain sports is the culture, sharing the experiences with others and just spending time with like-minded people who appreciate the same things. We like to think of the A-Lodge as a bit of a summer camp for adults with the comforts and amenities that go along with that.
When you come back from your ride and hit the pool to cool off and follow it up with a soak in the hot tub you will be surrounded by fellow riders who also spent their day on two wheels. Share stories, get trail ideas and intimate details about rides and even make new friends for future biking adventures.
Most people who love to bike also appreciate the mountain environment. When you stay at the Adventure Lodge in Boulder you are surrounded by nature, lush pine trees abound and Fourmile Creek flows right through the property. When you stay with us you are minutes from downtown so you can have it all, peaceful accommodations in a mountain setting plus easy access to downtown for dinners out, music and films at the Boulder Theater and all the other things that make Boulder great.
Mountain Biking In Boulder
Not sure where to ride? Not a problem, all of our staff love to spend time on a bike and can point you in the right direction for your ability, fitness and the current weather. Located in Boulder Canyon you are ideally situated to access both the trails on the Front Range side of the property, everything from Marshall Mesa and Hall Ranch even down to Golden as well as the trails in the high country near Nederland and the Indian Peaks. This allows you to ride in the cooler air during the summer and the warmer air in the spring and fall. As well as access to trails that dry out sooner than those above us in the mountains.
All this in a location that is convenient to tag home to clean up and head out on the town. Want to fuel the psyche before you arrive? Check out the mountain bike trails near Boulder on Mountain Bike Project and the Boulder, Colorado mountain bike page, be careful you may end up extending your trip!
