The coffe in the AM and opportunities to grab an adult beverage in the evening by the fireplace was really nice. If you're looking for a groomed, perfectly clean top notch facility, this is not your place. If you're looking for a relaxed atmosphere where people care about the outdoors with moderately clean facilities, this is your place. They have it decorated with lights and have a small pool and sauna that gives way to nature like no other. Really cool, relaxing experience. We also loved being able to hike right from the grounds or even walk into Boulder. The grill access was nice for a home cooked meal. The staff is excellent and always welcomed us with smiles. The showers are clean and convienient, the lodge is a lovely place to rest inside, and the grounds and sauna are super relaxing. It is so cool how the community also is involved with local bands playing, the occasional yoga class on the lawn, etc. Walking to hikes, and incredibly short drive to downtown (only 8 min!), but it feels tucked away in the mountains. Argumentive and just a nasty attitude and refusef to release my $150 deposit until I returned and stood there and made her release the hold on my credit card. Mark Golaszewski8 August 2026Starting with the venue, the creekside canyon setting, pavilion, lodging, amenities, and easy access to Boulder was a perfect fit for our family's wedding and celebration! We received multiple comments and compliments on the unique and special outdoor environment. Our guests, particularly those from out-of-state, really enjoyed the opportunity for experiencing the natural beauty and peace that can be found in Colorado! As great as the A-Lodge venue and facilities are, the amazing staff are what we appreciated most. They contributed to the flow of the evening and went a long way toward making it a relaxing and smooth event where the bride, groom, and their parents were able to focus on our guests and the occasion. The staff did an outstanding job with outreach to the caterer and equipment rental company to ensure seamless operations for our event. M T30 July 2026We stayed here with our dog, and the location is excellent. It's close to Pearl Street, and the property has a charming summer camp atmosphere. The staff was friendly, but that's unfortunately where the positives ended. When we entered Cabin #32, we were immediately hit with the strong smell of fresh dog urine in the carpet. We were also surprised to find that the cabin didn't have air conditioning. We opened windows on both sides of the room and set up the portable fan to get some air circulating before heading out for dinner with friends. That night, I had a hard time falling asleep because the smell of urine was so overwhelming. Eventually, I realized I had accidentally positioned the portable fan to blow the odor directly toward the bed. After getting up to reposition the fan, I was finally able to fall asleep, but the smell was still incredibly unpleasant. It was pretty disgusting. We appreciate that the property is dog friendly, but the condition of the carpets needs to be addressed. They either need to be replaced with hard flooring or professionally deep cleaned on a regular basis. No guest should have to spend the night in a room that smells like fresh dog urine.Posted on Google
Will Malisch28 July 2026Great spot for place to stay just outside of Boulder. We stayed in an RV site, we were really close to our RV neighbours which I didn’t love. But otherwise it was a nice spot. It’s a motel style place so it’s hard to give a high review. But it was nice and I would stay here again if passing through Boulder. Also the staff was nice when we were here. I liked how they had a nice grass area against the river and a cool slack line area. This place had an amazing vibe. It is on the road, but it was never too noisy.Posted on Google
Suzy Landis25 July 2026Review We came on our annual vacation with my two granddaughters ( 9 and 10) my daughter, her boyfriend, and my ex-husband (my daughter’s dad and my granddaughter’s grandpa). The house offered a perfect amount of togetherness and privacy. The energy of the surrounding lodging was nice, although our lodging felt very private. The few very minor issues we had were handled immediately, professionally, and with care. The location of the A-Chalet is so convenient to the unique charm of Boulder, yet in close enough proximity of Rocky Mountain National Park and Estes Park that we felt like we truly experienced Colorado and came home every night to comfort. There was a software issue with Airbnb that resulted in the chalet being double-booked, so I accidentally reserved a unit that had already been booked. Asa, the owner, immediately stepped in to make things right. He refunded the original booking and made sure my dad, brother, and I were taken care of and comfortable throughout our stay. I really appreciated how much effort he put into resolving the situation and making sure we had a great experience despite the mix-up. Asa is a genuinely kind person who is doing an excellent job creating a unique and welcoming place to stay in the Boulder area. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend A-Lodge to anyone looking for accommodations in Boulder. Much better than some corporate hotel clogging up the community. LolPosted on Google
Megan Reznicek25 June 2026I just had my 150 person wedding at A Lodge and I could recommend this venue more. The staff is awesome and fun to work with, the venue is beautiful and the fact that so many of my guests (coming from 3 continents!) could stay on the property and visit with us all weekend was epic. They have a long list of preferred vendors and everyone they recommended did a wonderful job. (I am bias because it was my wedding) BUT all my guests have also been saying best wedding ever and that they loved the venue. It's hard to beat a twinkly light paradise up Boulder canyon and getting to spend the whole weekend with loved ones. Thank you Dylan and the entire A-Lodge team for your hard work and generosity! What I didn't like was the fact the street is dirt and when the wind flows and the cars run over it almost looks like fog and it gets into your mouth and nose even a little bit inside the room. Pros include lots of amenities for guests including a pool, hot tub, sauna, well-lit patios and picnic tables, games, barbecues, and a bubbling creek to lull you to sleep. It’s a 5-10 minute drive from Pearl Street Mall with lots of shops and restaurants. Cons include zero cell service (but good wifi to make up for that), an in-room shower that was akin to a camp shower and sprayed water somewhat erratically, and a slightly musty smell that faded when we opened the windows and aired it out. Up the mountain, set in the nature, very close to Boulder, but also a little out of town, spacious and extremely comfortable room and bed. Kitchen was convenient, wi-fi worked well, and the tv had numerous free channels. I was able to take a hike with my dog without needing to drive to a trailhead. Linda Radford23 May 2026Boulder Colorado is a pricey place to stay so finding this comfortable and quiet hideaway in the mountains was so perfect. The A-Lodge sit in a wooded area up the canyon next to a stream. We are staying in a cute and functional room. Just what we are looking for during our stay. I am happy to have a mini-fridge with the little ice section for blue ice and enough space in the fridge to put our cooer items inside. The microwave and little sink with dish soap, sponge, dish cloth and paper towel are all appreciated. We were able to eat our meals at the little table with two chair comfortably. There is plenty of light in the rooms. The bed is comfortable so we slept well. We are enjoying our stay here and it is just the first night.Posted on Google

Stephanie Young15 May 2026My husband and I had an excellent time at A-Lodge. We stayed two nights and we felt extremely immersed in nature the entire time. Quick and easy access up the mountain and into Boulder... Very convenient and close to everything we wanted. We also loved our sauna session (though we thought adding a cold plunge bucket outside would be nice). My only thing is that the walls are VERY thin, and if one of us was in the bathroom, we could hear people next door talking. Just an FYI if you require complete privacy. The place is by the road in the mountains and very quiet in the night. The hostel rooms themselves were cozy and spacious, with plenty of storage, and good bathroom - to - bed ratio. The bunk beds were very sturdy and comfy. The one con I can think of is that for the hostel part of the lodge, the shared public space for lounging was pretty limited (there were 1 desk and 1 crash pad couch and that was about it). The lodge lobby was pretty nice but not opened 24hrs. Still, a wonder place for solo road tripper and would recommend.Posted on Google

Beautyj036 April 2026Stayed here for 6 days in April, the room was clean and as described, although we paid for the Adventure Queen which advertised a Mountain View, which we didn't see much of, either way the water pressure and temperature was great, the bed was comfortable, there was a smart TV, and we kept the windows open for natural sounds which was nice. They were doing renovations on the room next to ours for 2 days of our stay which was unexpected but A-lodge offered to switch our rooms and compensate us with free drinks :) We adore the location and the community it attracts, very friendly locals and staff, it's just enough into the mountains for beautiful scenery and only 10 minute drive from the city! We did not receive any housekeeping (to our knowledge) so our trash piled up quickly but we didn't mind, though we wish someone came to vacuum the carpets, if you stay longer it may become an issue. The experience at Adventure lodge was great, we had our dog with us and she was very welcome. There is live music around the fire pit and patio. From the hot tub to the babbling brook, this place serves up adventure right outside your door. We saw a bear once. Two ravens stalked us for nuts. It is a short and beautiful drive into downtown Boulder yet nestled along a creek in a canyon. The grounds, the lodge, and the people and animals there were what made it special though! Our five-year-old always wanted to see if he could meet any cool dogs in the lodge, and indeed he did! We enjoyed hanging out there and having a local microbrew in the evenings. The room would benefit from some simple updates, but the bed was comfortable, everything was clean, and the provided coffee was great! Enjoyed the hot tub both days as well as a complimentary sauna spot during the communal hours. They were easy to communicate with and made right a scheduling snafu from their end very nicely. It was nice to have it to ourselves every time we went in. We also partially booked here for the sauna, not realizing that you have to pay more to reserve it. Which is understandable, but I wish was more clear in the booking details. The pool was closed but I didn't see that on the booking details either. It said heated, so I thought perhaps it would be open. The staff were very nice and helpful. My only complaints would be our bed was SUPER firm and I didn’t sleep well on it. Also, there is no ice on the property, which I don’t love. Otherwise, this place was great and a nice place to not have service and get away for a night or so.Posted on Google

Perfect location slightly outside of town in the beauty of the rockies but still close enough to have boulder accessible easily. You can see the stars at night in the canyon and drive less than 10 minutes to town. Zachary F12 October 2025We stayed in the 'Basecamp Double Queen' room, great space and very inviting! The room was large, even had a small kitchen/dining space. The property was beautiful with string lights all around, a nice stone building with an upstairs lounge, a sauna and hot tub that you could schedule time for (free) and several outdoor areas set up to relax with benches/seats. It only took about 5-10 minutes to get downtown Boulder, but felt secluded in the mountains with no cell service so we could just unplug and relax. We will 100% be going back.Posted on Google
Rob Bell8 October 2025Amazing location. Not only is their property stunningly beautiful, but there are so many great roads to ride from there. I suggest riding from there to the Gold Hill general store. They had fresh ground coffee in the room to make your own pot in case you’re awake before the lobby opens. They had live music in the lobby when I arrived. I loved that I was able to spend some time on the sauna. I missed out on the hot tub but I’ll do it next time. One additional thing I loved was that they had their own custom Guide Book in the room that outlined all the cool climbing, biking, fishing, and food in the area. Great coffee in the morning and a good selection of local beers in the evening. We loved the bike rides, hikes and the people we met. Riding bikes into town along the water was beautiful. Mitch4 October 2025I stayed here 2 weeks ago for the final 2 nights of my USA Denver/Yellowstone Roadtrip & what a great way to round it off. The team at A-Lodge are fantastic, so friendly, great service, & the facilities for me in my rooftop jeep camper were perfect. It had the bonus of an outdoor Sauna, pool, & a great lil place to have a beer in the eve. In fact I sat & had a beer around the fire pit on my 1st night with the UK band (James) who were on their US Tour in Boulder & was added to the guestlist. Overall a great place to stay, be it Campers or those in the lodges itself, warm friendly staff, great grounds, & I would imagine in the Peak Summer very busy n popular. Oh I must say how flexible they were when having to shift dates due to my roadtrip & for me no hassle in doing so which helped me out massively. Our guests loved getting to stay at A-Lodge's beautiful property, and had a lot of fun exploring the hiking trails nearby. Best of all, even though it feels very remote, it's only a few minutes from downtown Boulder, so it's easy for guests to pop into town as needed while still getting a mountain lodge feel for the weekend. Lily Ramirez3 September 2025A-Lodge is a Tourist Trap at best. If you enjoy overpriced muddy terrain, sauna-hot bathrooms with no towels, and getting up close and personal with your neighbors, this lodge is for you. We stayed three nights in July 2025 in a van site. The driveway potholes are a van suspension’s nightmare, and the wooden platforms looked great online, promising you could pitch a tent alongside your van. Surprise, you can’t. I didn’t come here to film a Vlog about van life or to do sunrise yoga on my van site deck, I came for adventure and got none of it. The property has very few trees, a dried-up creek that smells like a bog, and run-down grounds and buildings. The lodge is tiny and closes at 10pm, the pool unmaintained, the hot tub questionable, and the sauna is nothing like the website suggests. The free bikes advertised on the website? Not real. The hike up to the tent camping sites is steep, muddy, and full of tripping hazards, with no electricity or water and zero privacy. Also, for some reason it seems all the trees have either died or are in the process of dying so there’s no tree cover anywhere on the property. We paid $60 a night + tax for a van site (the ankle breaking tent sites are $50 + tax) that is cramped and close to others. Meanwhile, you can drive up the mountain about 15 minutes and camp free at Magnolia Dispersed Camping or drive another 5 minutes and pay $20 at Kelly Dahl, both with privacy, actual nature, and real scenery. Barbara Donesky1 September 2025My family, 6 adults and 2 young children, spent approximately a month at the single family house located on the edge of the adventure lodge property. The home is beautifully situated, with stunning views and access to the well equipped and appointed lodge and its amenities (pool, sauna, bimonthly evening yoga class, a lovely creek and more). It is a spacious home, with 4 bedrooms, 3 baths and a lovely master suite which includes a sauna and very large shower and tub. It also has a beautiful and very large deck. Asa was exceptionally responsive to our specific needs and always available for guidance regarding the area. Alli Forrester31 July 2025We just got married at the A-Lodge and executed an entire weekend of activities on-site for over 40 guests. Everyone LOVED it! Truly a quintessential representation of Colorado beauty and culture, and it was such a flexible event space for what we needed (group dinners, camp games, movie night, wedding ceremony, reception space). We truly LUCKED OUT when we found the A-Lodge and learned they could host events. And it is less than 10 minutes from Pearl! We even ended up joining the after party for a yoga event that happened on-site our first night. Special shout out to Dylan on the events team for being an extraordinary human and such a pleasure to work with. A-plus person all around! Our guests had nothing but great things to say, and truly even in the summer the rooms cool down without a/c, especially with the provided fans. We’ve been coming here since 2015 and have always loved this place. It had long been our dream to get married here, and when that day finally came, it exceeded our already high expectations. I often describe A-Lodge as a “summer camp for adults” because it’s just that much fun. I tell everyone, YOU HAVE TO STAY THERE! The accommodations are super cool and totally unique ranging from tent decks, hostel-style rooms, and hotel-style rooms to spacious suites and even a private cabin. On top of that, there’s a pool, hot tub, sauna, bar, and hiking trails right on site, plus easy access to endless outdoor adventures nearby. There is truly no cooler place on Earth. The rooms are clean, AMAZING views from the porch, friendly people, great amenities, and on the creek. I found solace even though the laughter of people at the lodge filled the air. Leah Cullop4 July 2025More like C- Lodge. This place advertises itself as being family friendly but this was not our experience. There was no women’s washroom- which is ridiculous. There was a men’s washroom and two gender neutral bathrooms (only one of which had a shower). Additionally, the bathrooms stank, were horribly ventilated, and lacked paper towels throughout our stay. The dumpster at the front of the property was overran with trash and smelled horrible. The staff was polite and the location was nice, so there is that at least.Posted on Google
Jennifer Levengood1 July 2025This is my second time staying at the lodge. We truly enjoyed our stay. It was great to only be a few miles out of Boulder and surrounded by such beauty. The drive through the canyon is breathtaking. You arrive at the lodge, and it is like stepping back in time to simpler times. The sound of the creek and the smell of campfire. There is a nice pavilion to cook out at. There is an outside area that people gather offen to enjoy music along with a campfire. Outside of the cabins are picnic tables to enjoy the outdoors. Beth Rauhut Goessmann30 June 2025If you are planning to visit Boulder this is the place to stay. The lodge is a perfect location to trails, downtown Boulder, and the Flatirons. The staff are welcoming, friendly and have a real joy for giving out -of-towners good recommendations. The rooms and grounds are such a relaxed vibe with guests chatting together, dogs playing, great sauna. They also have a pool and hot tub. The lobby lodge is a historic 2-story and each evening they have a happy hour with a local beer. You can also rent E-Bikes all day which I highly recommend doing as you can take the beautiful trail from the lodge along the Colorado river right into downtown. Highly recommend!Posted on Google

The front desk said the manager was not avail but would respond. UPDATE: Owner called me personally with a full refund and will update descriptions on Expedia to explain AC availability. David Guenthardt15 June 2025I stayed in the dormitory at A-Lodge for IRONMAN 70.3 Boulder. Location is fantastic, nestled at the bottom of 4 Mile Canyon. Plenty of parking. Evening entertainment with campfire feeling. Rooms are big enough to accommodate the 4 bunks each. Communal kitchen and bathrooms. The bed was clean, clean sheets and towels available. The carpet floor was rather dirty, bring shower flip flops. The shower and bathroom had mold, other than that it was functional. My food items were discarded from the fridge, even though I had it properly labeled.+4Posted on Google
Aaron Calvo13 June 2025People are extremely friendly and welcoming this includes guests and employees as well. Highly recommend the A-Lodge in Boulder it's not booked out. Plenty to do weather traveling with friends family or solo. Staff was excellent, rooms are really nice and each has their own individual Wi-Fi which is great being off the beaten path but still not far from Boulder. Was able to make it back into Boulder in less than 10 minutes with traffic. Food and beverages as well as alcohol served in the check-in lobby as well however you have your own kitchen so its more economical to bring your own food and beverages. However not needed. Had food with me & the hostel accommodations were bare-bones, but that's what I was there for, so wasn't disappointed. Evening was the best part, sitting around fire pit sharing stories with strangers from around the world while the lodge served up cold pints of IPA on tap. Scott13 May 2025Skiing in May?! We hit last Tuesday’s storm. Eric at A-Lodge Salida was a great help recommending this Perfect Trees backcountry ski line. The cabins are great – warm, clean and great finishes. Great location so close to Monarch Pass. Looks like a fairly new campground. The electric cabin was nice and clean. It’s great to not have to bring bedding or a sleeping bag! First trip with our new RV! The site was beautiful and the bathrooms are clean.Posted on Google

The two queen bed room has a kitchenette, table, full bath, and two beds. Perfect for what we needed. The service from the time we booked through checkin has been excellent!
