Intimate Live Music at A-Lodge Boulder
This November and December, A-Lodge Boulder will transform into an intimate mountain listening room, bringing together local musicians, music lovers, and the surrounding community for a series of cozy, thoughtfully curated live music evenings.
Inspired by the warmth of a mountain cabin gathering and the simplicity of live acoustic music, The A-Lodge House Concert Series will prioritize atmosphere, connection, and discovery over the traditional concert experience. Guests will be invited to settle in, grab a drink, discover new artists, and enjoy live music in a setting that feels personal and welcoming.
About the artist: downey chase is a name i saw on a headstone in a massachusetts cemetery from the 1800s. i immediately thought it would be a good name for a folk singer. when i went back to find it years later, the stone wasn’t there anymore. my friend who is good at history stuff looked through a bunch of archives and found no record of anyone with that name ever being buried there or living in massachusetts at all. i moved across the country and started using the name to release music.
so now i live in colorado and write songs in a little room in my house. my dog mikey is usually around. sometimes you can hear him in the recordings. sometimes you can hear birds, chimes, rain, or wind outside.
my songs are about things i think about or experience. my new song “stars to glow” is out now. more songs coming soon.
i’m also in a band called the brazen youth.
